The Summary: As an Associate Media Director you will be leading every step of the campaign process, owning campaign forecasts, targeting strategy, creation, QA, pacing, and delivery to make sure we hit our goals, on budget. You will be a primary source for the agency on any project that includes SEM or other Digital elements.

You will drive performance through daily team and account management, optimization, and strategy. You will work closely with the Planning team, Strategy team and Account Executives to report, relay trends, provide insights, strategies and implement optimizations. You will manage 1-3 Senior Media Manager level and below team members. You will directly report to the Media Director and work laterally with other Associate Directors.

This is a full-time position. Can be fully remote with occasional travel to the Chattanooga, TN office or hybrid for local applicants.

The Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing your advanced understanding of Search Advertising and some experience with Social, Display, Programmatic, Audio, Video
  • Oversee daily operation for the team and act as a “working” director on several client accounts
  • Optimize and manage client campaigns including strategy development and project management using a data-driven approach
  • Actively leverage and improve established processes, documents, checklists, etc for new and existing clients
  • Manage reporting of weekly and monthly channel metrics, goals, and other KPIs for multiple client accounts
  • Partner with the client teams across departments to work toward meeting and exceeding client expectations continuously. Departments include: Strategy, Media Planning, Analytics, Creative, IT/Dev, Project Management, Account Service and Accounting.

The Requirements:

  • 6+ years experience in an agency environment with high spend SEM campaigns
  • Extensive expert level knowledge of Search/SEM strategy, planning, writing copy, structuring testing, buying, management and reporting.
  • Intermediate to expert knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Prolonged experience managing 2 or more team members in all daily activities and creating a culture of accountability and ownership of client success.
  • Client facing experience – in-person presentations, video conferencing, phone, and email communication
  • Confidence in presenting and providing recommendations along with managing expectations of senior leadership and executive teams.
  • Solid knowledge of Google Search, Microsoft Search, MS Excel (V-look up, Pivot Tables, etc), Google Suite/Apps, Slack and various third-party tools & advertising platforms for research, testing and reporting at scale
  • The ability to surface and articulate innovative ideas, approaches, and solutions to our day-to-day work
  • Creative and analytical skills, complemented by the ability to take direction, learn/develop new skill sets, problem-solve, and take on new challenges while paying strong attention to detail
  • A team-focused, collaborative mindset at all times
  • Take direction well, take ownership of their body of work, and be accountable for any and all executional aspects that fall within their realm.
  • Lead by example, as a “working” director, set the standard for work ethic, expertise, ownership and accountability
  • Showcasing professionalism when working under pressure and collaborating with peers in a team building, fast paced environment

These are a plus:

  • Direct experience in DSPs & Display Networks (Adobe Advertising Cloud, Google Ads, DV360, TradeDesk)
  • Knowledge of Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads Manager, Asana, Strata, PowerBI, Notion, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of and experience with other mediums outside of digital
