Client Partner – Talent Acquisition Marketing and Advertising

At The Johnson Group, the Client Partner is the lead Giant Slayer for The Johnson Group’s Talent Acquisition Marketing and Advertising Center of Excellence. Giants come in numerous forms, including new/existing competitors, economic shifts, and/or consumer perceptions. The Client Partner is responsible for strategic thinking, creative problem solving, expanding relationships, and organic growth of existing accounts.

You will need a proven track record of building a Talent Acquisition Marketing and Advertising practice for various industries such as trucking, schools, hospitals, salons, etc. Your experience should include experience in consulting, cultivating and managing relationships, identifying selling opportunities, developing marketing/sales strategies, creating and presenting proposals, and leading cross-functional teams to win new business.

You will be able to harness the depth and breadth of The Johnson Group’s capabilities to expand relationships across the client organization, identify new opportunities, and create innovative ways to help clients take full advantage of today’s and future innovations.

Giant Slaying Responsibilities

  • Drive and lead the Talent Acquisition Advertising Center of Excellence, ensuring profitable YoY Growth
  • Build and manage executive relationships, create an opportunity pipeline, ensure client satisfaction, and manage all operations for the accounts
  • Have a partnership mindset and align with C-level executives. Understand the client’s culture, capabilities, team structure, and decision-making process and make decisions to ensure success for the client
  • Work with the Strategy, Planning & Analytics team to stay abreast of trends (industry, consumer, digital) and understand how these trends affect client business and marketing initiatives
  • Develop a relationship map, 3–5-year vision and strategy
  • Ensure delivery teams are exceeding client quality expectations and meeting client contractual obligations
  • Maintain P&L for Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence portfolio of accounts and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Demonstrate a high level of performance and results in goal achievement, account management, people and diversity development, business / financial/technical specialization, and innovations
  • Shape proposals and negotiate agreements
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of The Johnson Group offerings and solutions, brand and network building, cross-client line of businesses, and industry trends

Qualifications

  • Successful track record (10+ years) of building and managing a business within a professional services / consulting / advertising agency environment
  • Experience managing large multi-million dollar accounts, specifically within the Talent Acquisition Marketing and Advertising space
  • Awareness of Talent Acquisition advertising industry trends, challenges, opportunities, and disruptors
  • Demonstrated ability to take a consultative approach to engaging with executives as well as speak to both tactical and strategic decision-makers across the organizational hierarchy
  • Ability to align marketing and advertising strategy with business strategy
  • Strong leadership capability to manage a matrixed organization team of 15-20 people and lead change while inspiring and developing others
  • Extensive experience in creating pitch books, responses to RFIs and RFPs
  • Ability to communicate and contribute cross-functionally throughout the various agency departments
  • Ability to work across internal organizational functions to cast, pitch, and sell deals with relevant subject matter expertise and practice leads
  • Strong learning mindset and drive for continuous evolution and self-improvement
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Flexible and mobile, able to work in a hybrid WFH, office, and travel environment as the role necessitates
  • Location preference – Eastern or Central Time Zone Preferred. Agency is headquartered in Chattanooga, TN (must have the ability to travel to the client site on an as-needed basis)
