The Role: Director, Media Strategy

The Summary: You will own the strategic vision for all assigned accounts, working closely with media, creative, analytics, and account service to ensure alignment across departments. You will work directly with our in-house design/dev/production teams and are encouraged to explore new and experimental ads, targeting, and networks.   • Make recommendations and propose solutions to meet goals and affect future planning
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all assigned clients needs, including goals & objectives and internal activations for execution
  • Serve as internal lead for assigned accounts, ensuring creative, analytics, media and account service are aligned on the strategy for each account
  • Oversee communication of shifts in strategy due to client/business need, in partnership with project management and account service
  • Collaborate with media department leads on assigned accounts to formulate cohesive full-funnel media plans for all accounts and ensure that the right agency resources are in place to develop client campaigns
  • Attend client status meetings and communicate relevant information to appropriate teams as needed
  • Stay integrated with the media team to ensure the current media landscape is considered when suggesting strategic direction
  • Support new business efforts as applicable


  • 6-10+ years of traditional and/or digital media planning and buying experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of agency experience
  • Collaboratively driven; this position will often lead various client and internal meetings
  • Various industry vertical experience preferred
  • Experience collaborating with a fully remote team is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Solid understanding of paid media (fully versed and able to present a strategy and flow-plan for digital media)
  • Direct experience managing campaigns or observing direct response performance with a handful of the following digital media channels: digital display, paid search, Facebook/Instagram, connected TV, video, digital audio, native ads is a plus
  • Experience with web analytics (preferably Google Analytics) is plus
  • Excellent understanding of all planning and buying processes
