Summary

We are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Front-End Web Developer to join our team of designers and developers who have a passion for pushing the boundaries of the web’s capabilities and building user experiences that leave memories. Our Interactive department is responsible for building out websites; soup to nuts, from initial scoping to deployment, we help our partners get to the next level in their web presence by bridging the gap between design and technology. • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Collaborate with team members, project managers, developers, and designers
• Architect WordPress plugins and themes while utilizing Pantheon as a development lifecycle platform
• Improving existing platforms and services
• Knowledge sharing with the team
• Reviewing Code

• Development operations principles such as SSH keys, command line interfacing, FTP/SFTP
• Web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL and NodeJS • WordPress theme and plugin development
• Database engines such as MySQL and SQL Server
• CSS frameworks and practices such as BEM and Bootstrap
• JavaScript package managers including NPM and yarn
• Front-end build and bundling pipelines such as gulp and webpack
• JavaScript frameworks including jQuery, vue.js, and react
• API Consumption via REST and JSON/XML
• Asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Image manipulation
• Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Code versioning tools such as Git
• Search Engine Optimization principles and ensuring that the application will adhere to them
• Search Engine Marketing principles
• Awareness of Security Risks
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Responsive and mobile-first designs

• 5 years of WordPress
• 3 years of PHP, JavaScript

• Familiarity with AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages by Google)
• Experience with Pantheon WebOps Platform
• Experience with Google Cloud

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 5 years of professional website design/development
• The ability to consistently produce professional-grade, creative, and timely designs
• Working knowledge of content management systems (WordPress knowledge required)
• Professional web design skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, etc.)
• Self-motivated and positive attitude
• Ability to work in a team environment
• The ability to work with a variety of customers and projects
• The ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
