DIRECTOR
Roger Vaughn
For 20 years, Roger co-directed his commercial concepts alongside such acclaimed filmmakers as Bennett Miller, Oscar-nominated director of Capote, Moneyball, and Foxcatcher; and Kier McFarlane, a member of Spike Jonze’s creative collective MJZ, the team behind Being John Malkovich, Her and Where the Wild Things Are. Plus other industry veterans including David Jellison, John Lindauer, and Peter Zavadil.
In 2009, Roger fully assumed the role of director when he concept, wrote the music, and directed a tourism campaign that was awarded the American Advertising Federation’s highest honor, National ADDYs, for both concept and cinematography. Since then, Roger has created, written and directed dozens of commercials and videos which have been recognized with multiple EMMYs and National ADDYs.
In addition, Roger’s conceptual work in music videos has been met with multiple CMT, CMA and ACM award nominations for Eric Church, Florida-Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett, Lady A, and Sara Watkins of Nickel Creek. In particular, Roger’s video and short film concept for Eric Church’s Springsteen helped launch the artist to superstardom, and place the song on Rolling Stone’s Top 100 Country Songs of All Time.
